Self-Isolation Date Night with Kids | Restaurant AKK

Self-isolation has taken our Romantic Date Nights to a whole new level! But the Reviews must continue lol! So here is a video of our special date night at home, at Restaurant AKK ( named after Abbe, Kayla, and Kai)…coz the original order didn’t quite work (Restaurant KAK lol).

Avon and I really did have a special time and it wasn’t as challenging as we thought…..Having the kids in charge! The kids went to bed with such pride and accomplishment and couldn’t wait to do theΒ next date.

Lessons Learnt:
1. Manners
2. Planning skills
3. Delegation

Tips:
1. Plan the menu together as a family using what is in the fridge.
2. Make sure you cut all the ingredients that need a sharp knife and prep anything that would be too challenging. I had pre-cooked the mince and the veggie burgers and they had to make the eggs and the dessert.
3. Do your best not to step into the kitchen and let them make the mess without stress. They are in charge!
4. Cheer them along the way and show your enthusiasm for their hard efforts!

Thanks,Β NOLA MayonnaiseΒ for the sponsored apron!
